Big Cats
The big velvety paws of the jungle and the savanna

On this side I would like to present you my favourite animals.

What is a big cat?
They are the big relatives of our all-side well known house cat. Untamed, free and a symbol for strength and elegance. They have learned to live in the most diverse areas of the world, and thereby to resist against imminent extermination by man.

Today they live in the jungle of India (tiger, leopard, lion) and South America (jaguar), in the savannah of the black continent Africa (cheetah, leopard, lion), as well as in the high mountains of the Himalaya (snow leopard), in Canada and North America (cougar). Even in the deserts (lion, cheetah, leopard) they made it to survive - in the forests of Europe (lynx) their population grows again.

Particularly here I want to give you some information on the jaguar, the leopard and the panther. And not to forget the snow leopard.
